Whether you live in the city or out in the country, there is simply no better companion than a standard poodle. When inside, poodles are quiet and affectionate, staying close to their human family at all times. Ours usually curl up at our feet, rarely moving all evening. When outside, they love to run and leap, and ours even try to herd the horses. Karen often takes one of the poodles with her to the office. Many of our puppies have been chosen to be service dogs for disabled veterans and other handicapped persons. St. Francis Service Dogs usually takes 3 or 4 puppies from each litter for its program. At least 5 of our dogs are currently companions to autistic children. Our dogs are serving the community in the court system, in hospitals, and in homes for mentally handicapped adults. Our poodles are so smart that their training goes much more quickly than that of other breeds used for service dogs. All of our poodles are great watch dogs, keeping alert at all times and fiercely protecting their people. Poodles are incredibly smart, and can be house-trained in a few days. They are very intuitive, and can sense their peopleís moods. We have all fallen in love with the breed, and are striving to breed the best temperament, confirmation, and color. In order to constantly improve our lines, we have gathered our breeding dogs from all over the United States. We also ship all over the U.S. Two of our dogs now live together in Beverly Hills, and one resides with her "hip" owner in the fashion district in New York.

Buttercup is our first chocolate and white parti. Both of her parents are champions, as is one of her littermates. She has great conformation, a beautiful refined face, and a lot of presence. She is full of personality and loves to play with the other dogs, especially Westley. Her puppies are exquisite and she is a great mother.
Kiss is our most experienced mother and absolutely loves having puppies. She keeps her own puppies well fed and often volunteers to nurse puppies from other litters. She is very quiet and easy to have around. She loves to run at top speed outside, but is really quiet inside the house. She often goes to the office with Karen, and keeps her company during those long work hours. She is silver beige.
Hattie is a daughter of Buttercup and Westley. She is not only a parti, but a brindle like her dad. She is by far the sweetest of any of our poodles. If you would let her, she would sit in your lap all day every day. She is very athletic like her dad though and likes to play too. Given her fabulous conformation and color, we are so excited to see what she and Tucker will produce.
Glinda is a daughter of Kiss and Westley. I know we said Duchess was the best we could hope for from that cross, but I think Glinda might have outdone her. She has a beautiful face, her mom's gorgeous movement, and her dad's sweet personality. We are so excited to see what she and Tucker will produce.
Westley is our parti stud, and is producing wonderful parti puppies. He is very laid back, and by far the sweetest dog we own. He would love nothing more than to sit in your lap all day being loved on. He is the popular "tuxedo" pattern, meaning he has white on his legs and tummy, like someone just dipped him in a bucket of paint when he was a puppy. He is also a brindle, which means that the dark parts of his coat are more than one color. He produces a variety of interesting colors and patterns.
Wendy is a chocolate standard poodle, a full sister to Kiss. She is extremely smart and loves to help out on the ranch, sometimes helping herd the colts to be sure they follow their moms when being moved in and out of the pasture. In the house she is very quiet, and often goes with Karen to the office or to run errands. She is very into her people, and is happiest when she is just hanging with the family. Her puppies are very large and athletic and have very deep chests with tight waists. (We call this having a great tuck-up.) Many of her puppies are working as service dogs and are also popular with outdoorsmen.
Marie is a parti standard poodle that has had four litters now, two for us and two for a previous breeder. Her breeder left her with a natural, undocked tail. She is a smaller size than our chocolate poodles. She has gorgeous parti markings and is a very cute mover. She is very laid back, and just goes with the flow. She loves to run as fast as she possibly can outside, and then comes in and is immediately asleep. She is so cuddly and loving, and a complete pleasure to have around. She really enjoys going for car trips and running errands with me. She is the mother of Princess.
UPDATE: Marie is now retired and living the high life with her new owner in the Bay Area.
Princess is a blue and white parti daughter of Marie. She is very outgoing and loves to play with children and other dogs. She is the most cheerful, eager to please dog you will ever meet and passes these qualities along to her puppies.
Duchess is a daughter of Kiss and Westley. She is very fun and outgoing with her mom's gorgeous movement and her dad's innate sweetness. She has retired from breeding and is now with her forever family here in Northern California.
Sebastian is our chocolate stud, who throws size, athleticism, beauty, and fabulous personalities. Service dog owners rave about the temperament and intelligence of his babies. He is quite large at about 27 inches and seventy pounds, and many of his babies are even larger. He is very playful and affectionate, and loves nothing better than to crawl up in your lap. For a stud dog, he is unusually laid back, and lives to catch popcorn in the air each night while watching television.
Tristan was a fabulous stud dog, having bred labradoodles for several years, and then siring both Arthur and Toby for Fairy Tail Farms. He then began his career as a service dog through St. Francis P.A.W.ís program in Fair Oaks, California. He went through the entire program in just a couple of months, and now lives with his disabled owner, who suffers from multiple sclerosis. Fairy Tail Farms tries to donate at least one dog from each litter to the Service Dog program.
Friar Tuck aka "Tuck"
We purchased Tuck from a wonderful breeder in Michigan. He is the most eternally cheerful and happy dog we've ever owned, and we've nicknamed him "Supertuck" because of the way he likes to run and leap when he's happy (which like we said is all the time). As you can see below, James even got him a cape. He has the popular "tuxedo" markings like Westley and we are looking forward to breeding him to some of Westley's daughters.
Toby is a chocolate male sired by Tristan out of Kissís November, 2006 litter. He has such a gorgeous face that Jill immediately fell in love with him, and he became destined to live with the Baylor crowd in Waco, Texas. He tries to keep all those crazy college girls in line, and makes sure that all of their dates behave themselves and leave his apartment in time for his nightly walk in the park. He also supervises "Enchilada Night" and other cook out occasions when food is readily available for him to clean up. He regularly attends horse shows, and enjoys making sure that nobody messes with his girl and her horses.
